KMA is pleased to be a sponsor of the cocktail hour for an upcoming banquet that recognizes the 60 companies named as “The Best Places to Work in Maine” for 2013. This eighth annual event takes place at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland (40 Westland Ave), starting at 5pm on Thursday, October 10, with a cocktail reception before dinner and ceremonies beginning at 6pm.
Each year, employers participate in this program to recognize companies that consistently foster outstanding workplace environments. Companies are surveyed and assessed in the areas of leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, employee role satisfaction, work environment, relationships with supervisors, training and development, pay and benefits, and overall employee engagement.
Feedback received through participation in the program aids companies in making improvements within their own workplaces, and recognition helps with recruiting and retention efforts.
In addition to great food and fun, the banquet is a fantastic networking opportunity. Tickets are $60 and include dinner. Availability is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
