The eleventh annual “Best Places to Work in Maine” finalist’s list is out. An awards dinner will be held in early October, where top companies in all three categories (small, medium, and large employers) will find out how they ranked.
The “Best Places to Work in Maine” program is part of a long-term initiative to encourage growth and excellence in all Maine companies. Each participating company undergoes a rigorous assessment process to evaluate employee policies and procedures, as well as employee feedback concerning the workplace environment.
A sponsor of the annual “Best Places” program again this year, KMA is pleased to have worked with many of the companies who made the finalist list by helping them manage compliance with state and Federal Human Resources laws and regulations, employee relations and engagement, hiring and retention practices, and various other aspects of their HR and organizational development needs. Congratulations!
Many companies use the Best Places to Work in Maine process to help them make improvements in their workplace culture, and as a benchmark for how they are doing compared to their peers. Being considered a “best place to work” is important because premier employers are better able to attract and retain top talent; their employees tend to be more engaged, satisfied, and productive; and consumers react more positively to companies with excellent reputations.
