What was the most useful feedback you ever received? 

“Be the change you want to see. In 2015, I decided I no longer needed a seat at the table. I chose to build my own table: Maine’s first Indian brand, Mumbai to Maine. I created a blog to share my culinary heritage, which grew into a podcast where other tastemakers could share their maker stories. In 2020, during the pandemic, I launched a gourmet Indian simmer sauce collection. As an immigrant and a woman, if you feel like you are not being seen or heard, build your own stage, and share your story. My life’s work is now actively bridging cultural divides, and spreading joy and Indian flavors all over the country — one jar at a time.”
