The deadline for employers to submit employee compensation data for EEO-1 reports is September 30.

Compliance alertEmployers, including federal contractors, are required to submit compensation data (c

omponent 2 of the EEO-1 report) for 2017 and 2018 if they have 100 or more employees during the workforce snapshot periods, which are an employer-selected pay period between October 1 and December 31 for each year. Component 1 data on race/ethnicity and sex was due in May of this year.

The only employees whose compensation and hours-worked data must be reported are those full-time and part-time employees who were on the employer’s payroll during the workforce snapshot periods.

Federal contractors with 50 to 99 employees are not required to report compensation data.

Federal contractors with 1 to 49 employees, and other private employers with 1 to 99 employees, are also not required to file either EEO-1 Component 1 data or Component 2 data on compensation.
